In 2020, Cameron Beaubier won 16 HONOS Superbike races on his way to clinching his fifth MotoAmerica Superbike Championship. He tied the record for most AMA Superbike victories in a single season (equaling the record-setting number of wins Josh Hayes stacked up in 2012).
In 2021, Beaubier’s former teammate Jake Gagne has a good chance to break the tie and own the record outright. Going into the final six races of the season, Gagne has already won 13 HONOS Superbike races in a row (a new record for consecutive Superbike victories), and if his streak continues, he will set a new record with 19 Superbike victories in a single season. And, this is the motorcycle on which Gagne has a chance to make history.
